“Earth Day has to be every day.” Very rarely am I stopped in my tracks while interviewing someone, but the truth of the statement speaks for itself. In lieu of Earth Day, I had the opportunity to speak with David Conrad, Nokia North America’s Senior Manager of Environmental Affairs, and came away very impressed with the company’s efforts to promote environmental solutions. In our discussion, my primary questions centered around the efficiency of such a program. What are the company’s current environmental programs? What about the people that view the concept as redundant? How does the company approach the challenge of educating people?

It is essential for parents to protect their kids and to monitor their activities to keep them out of trouble. TextGuard is a mobile phone application which allows parents to monitor and control their kids cell phone activities by installing the utility on the mobile device. TextGuard not only allows parents to observe their kids activities by monitoring the sent and received text messages, but they can also block certain phone numbers which they think are bad influencers for their children. The utility currently works with BlackBerry and Windows Mobile Phones and is able to track SMS text messages, sent and received emails as well as call logs on the online server. The utility can also block spam text messages on mobile phones. All you need to do is register on the website and download the application to your mobile device to start monitoring the activities. |
