Last week Samsung announced the Samsung Preston (S5600), which targets the style conscious mobile phone user looking for a mobile phone with full touch screen. Along with a full touch screen interface, the phone’s slim form factor is something to look out for. The 3G enabled phone lets you browse the Internet at 7.2 mbps HSDPA connectivity. Auto rotate function is supported by the built-in accelerometer. With this phone Samsung has kept customization at the forefront as its TouchWiz interface and Gesture lock lets the user personalize the phone to suit his/her needs coupled with the feature of adding widgets to the phone’s homescreen to access favorite applications in one click. Other features include, 3.2 mega-pixel camera, music recognition using Shazam’s “Find Music” service, 80 MB internal memory, microSD slot up to 8GB, multi-codec support such as H.263, MPEG4, and WMV . The phone will be coming to Asia in May so may be in June in India and will be available in Sweet Pink, Snow White, and Charcoal Grey.
