I bought an Apple iPhone 3GS on launch day because Apple PR told me they could get me a review loaner, but it might take awhile.  No good - you gotta cover the hot phones as soon as possible in the crazy tech blog world, right?  I happened to be near both an AT&T and an Apple store the morning 3GS went on sale, so I walked to AT&T, saw no line outside, and decided to just go in and buy one.  I spent $299 for the 32GB model, plus a $36 activation fee and a new two year contract.  A lot of cash to fork over for a phone I didn’t plan to keep, but it needed to be covered for the site and I figured I could probably sell the thing at recoup a decent chunk of my money once I was done with the review.

Phonereport.info’s sources withing Nokia and Car Zeiss are hinting toward Nokia launching phone or imaging phones with 12 meg snapper and other features like optical zoom. Nokia has recently launched it camera flagship phone the N86 8MP, which has a 8 mega pixel snapper. The rumored phones from Nokia with 12 mega pixel camera will hit the market sometime at the end of this year or early next year. Phonereport also says that there is a possibility of Nokia launching these devices at the Mobile World Congress 2010. I kind of believe these guys,as some of them have been to the Car Zeiss factory and they might have picked some important hints there!!

I have used HTC’s new UI, previously known as Rosie, on an over-clocked G1 before - just like a lot of other Android modders out there. I knew it would be quicker on the Hero. I hoped it would be completely smooth. I’ve gotta say - and I really don’t think I’m being influenced by free tickets and booze here - the Hero experience blew me away.

Remember the iBeer Application on iPhone. Mobile Master has come with a similar Application for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic and this ones called XpressBeer. The application does not seem to be as responsive as the iBeer application but then it looks good. Nice work!! Check out the video below and you can download the English version of the software here. I guess this will work on both Nokia 5800 and Nokia 5530 XpressMusic.
