Plemix over at ESATO forum is one the lucky guys who has got his hands on the Nokia N97. The N97 is trending all over the mobile blogosphere these days. After reading his initial thoughts about the phone it is clear that he is satisfied with the phone on two fronts, features and connectivity. He says that the phone is not for people who believe that mobile phones should be slim and light. He comes from the school of thought where mobile phones are supposed to be rich function and feature wise, nothing else matter. The only thing that he is not happy about is the design and build of the phone, which I guess Nokia cannot change now. We reported on it in late May, and as of today, they’re finally here - the Casio EXILIM and Motorola Rival have landed on Verizon. Obviously marketed towards texting teens, the Rival offers a full QWERTY keyboard and a 2 megapixel camera for $99.99 after mail-in rebate. On the higher end of the spectrum, the EXILIM sports a 5.1 megapixel camera with auto-focus, flash, and 3x optical zoom, along with GPS. More importantly, the device meets military specifications for resistance against dust and water.
