Remember Nokia 5630 XpressMusic, the Symbian S60 music phone that was launched by Nokia earlier this year. Nokia 5630 is the successor of Nokia 5320 XpressMusic, which I have already reviewed and kind of liked that phone. Hope the 5630 is better as compared to Nokia 5320. Nokia 5630 is a compact phone but its specifications pack a solid punch backed by WLAN support, processing power with 600 MHz ARM 11 CPU. For features like this the pricing of the phone at Euro 255 is a value for money. Other features include, 3.2 mega pixel snapper with LED flash and fixed focus, stereo Bluetooth, FM with RDS, 4GB microSDHC card support. The phone is a true music phone with 24 hrs music playback time.

As Aaron reported yesterday, Jon “Prefather” Rubinstein has been promoted to CEO of Palm, Inc. (effective tomorrow) after revitalizing the company - at least for a few months now - with the carefully orchestrated hype, buzz-build, and launch of the Palm Pre.  For the beneift of those of you who are tired of all this Pre coverage, I’ll leave you with the following two photos and this link to one of the many stories describing el Steveo as, well, not quite a man of the people.  I’ve never met Steve so I can’t comment.  But I’ve yet to read anyone describe Rubinstein as “such a jerk that he wasn’t worth the trouble.” Read the rest of this entry »
