Nokia next firmware update for its first touch screen XpressMusic phone, the 5800 will see Kinetic Scrolling, widgets, which would enhance the homescreen just like the N97. The update will also improve the phone’s response time, camera output. Improved homescreen and widgets will make the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic just like the N97’s home screen. Kinetic scrolling would be coming to the web browser, home screen and contact list so you might get a touch experience just like the iPhone if the kinetic scrolling is that good. Partial kinetic scrolling might be a turn-off as the user has to remember which features support Kinetic scrolling and that might shatter his expectations. Someone wanted to know about syncing Yahoo contacts. As far as I can tell, Funambol is the best solution, though i admit I haven’t tried it for Yahoo! sync.
