This is a good day. As bad as it may sound to Aussies, I’m happy to announce that the Hero has been rooted. What does this mean? It means the phone can now be over-clocked, apps can be run from the SD card, swap space can be run from the SD card, and a wide selection of apps that require administrator privileges can now be run on the phone. As it has for the Dream and Magic, a new world is opening up for the Hero. Your Hero too sluggish? It runs at 384 MHz with 528 MHz under the hood!

Simon Sage at IntoMobile has posted a design firm’s drawings of Motorola’s Morrison (by way of Engadget and Mobil.cz) that fill in a few of the aesthetic holes that previous photos have left open. Still, we don’t know much about the gadget’s personality. But what we’re lacking in specs - as Morrison probably is - we can make up for with a possible T-Mobile street date of October 21st. |
