Those that are entrenched in wireless industry news are well aware of the troubles surrounding Zer01 Mobile. Shortly after announcing a revolutionary $69.99 unlimited wireless phone service, questions were raised about the company and its distribution partners. Global Verge, the tiered marketing company that was exclusively selling the service under their “Buzzirk” subsidiary, is now out of the Zer01 game, with former CEO Mark Petschel under probation after pleading guilty to securities fraud.

T-Mobile laid their hand out on the table just after midnight, announcing what looks to be their full lineup of holiday handsets. Most of what was in the press release consists of previously announced phones and special editions of existing phones, but there are two new low-end phones and Mac compatibility and a new data plan for the webConnect USB modem.

The European version of the Motorola Cliq, DEXT, is available for order at a site called Phones4U, and will ship October 9th on Orange. As can be seen at the site and in the screen shots below, there are plenty of plan contracts to choose from, ranging in length from 18 to 24 months. |
