google_phone.jpgThe Google phone is getting a a lot of attention since last two to three weeks, from the day its was announced by Google. Yesterday, one of the google employees, tweeted about the Google phone being gifted to the employees and called the phone as an iPhone on Steroids. According to Wall Street Journal, the Google phone will be called Nexus One (sounds like a name of some space ship). The phone will be manufactured by HTC for Google and will have next generation Android OS. Now you must be thinking, whats so special about this phone when today, there are hundreds of Android based phones floating around in the market and a lot of them belong to HTC’s portfolio. Well, in the case of Nexus One, Google has designed the whole experience of the Android OS. Whats runs behind the scenes and what all applications the phone will run, everything is decided by Google. The Google phone will be GSM based and won’t be operator locked.. We all know that Google is known for making game changing Internet based apps and products. With the Google phone coming in 2010, I am sure users as well as competitors will be eager to see what this phone has in store. [Image above is just an imaginary Google phone]

They also have done the best job of it. Unobtrusive, fairly easy to navigate, and always up-to-date, Sense delivers a glossy and connected social experience for gadget junkies.

So, Samsung’s Behold II doesn’t feature the most well-designed UI ever conceived but it does have some strong points. For example, that notification bar upgrade with easy-to-access wireless settings and recent apps. You know what? Let’s keep that and just get rid of TouchWiz and the gaudy keyboard.
