We’re still waiting for a non-Nexus device to get bumped up to Android 2.3, but if a new rumor is legit, we won’t be waiting much longer. We’ve seen a couple of leaks revealing T-Mobile’s plans to offer G2x, better known as the Optimus 2X, but today Magenta has gone ahead and made everything nice and official for us. Well, this one came out of left field. AT&T announced today that they’ve entered into an agreement to buy T-Mobile from its owner Deutsche Telekom for around $39 billion in cash and stock. ATT has also committed to deploying LTE to an additional 46.5 million people, including T-Mo’s 34 million customers.
