Talk of HP’s TouchPad liquidation has littered the Internet this week. The fire sale might prove to work wonders for the failing software platform, but not without leaving a trail of destruction and irate customers in its path. The prepaid Android revolution has grown quite a bit over the past few months, and soon Walmart and TracFone’s Straight Talk MVNO will be joining in on the fun with the Samsung Galaxy Precedent. Yesterday HP broke the hearts of webOS fans everywhere when it announced that it would “discontinue operations” of all webOS hardware, meaning phones and the TouchPad, in Q4 2011.
